Barbara Marvel McNutt, J.D.

 
Barbara Marvel McNutt joined the IOA as its Interim Executive Director on May 25, 2009.  Barb will serve in this position while Jim Zieba is on active duty for service in Afghanistan.
 
Barb is an attorney who worked for the state of Indiana for over 25 years.  She was chief counsel of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA), the state agency that oversees the boards that regulate professions, like the Indiana Optometry Board.  Barb also served as IPLA's chief legislative liaison with the Indiana General Assembly.
 
In 2006, Barb received the Governor's Public Service Achievement Award and in May, 2009, Barb was presented with the Distinguished Hoosier Award by Governor Mitch Daniels.
 
Barb is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in Business and a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis.  She is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
